    Airport – Colombo

    We will have your flight information ahead of time and have a driver-guide to meet you at the Colombo
    Bandaranaike International Airport. After you pick up your luggage, please look for a signboard of your
    name.
    Thereafter, you will be transferred to the beach hotel in Negombo – Approximately 10 minutes’ drive. No
    scheduled activities on arrival day allowing time for you to settle into the new environment.

    Colombo – Sigiriya

    After breakfast, we leave for Sigiriya located in the dry zone of Sri Lanka from where you could explore
    some of Sri Lanka’s popular tourist attractions. Our first stop will be at the Pinnawala Elephant
    Orphanage. The centre opens at 8:30am; bottle feeding is at 9:15am and at 10:00am the animals are
    walked 400 meters to the river Maha Oya for bathing.

    Then visit the Rock Temple of Dambulla; a vast isolated rock outcrop which towers about 600ft. above the
    plain. It stands bare and black exposed to the scorching sun, very little of it sheltered by woodland in this
    rock is a complex of caves which house the historic rock temple of Dambulla. This is one of the oldest
    Buddhist shrines in Sri Lanka. It is referred to as Jambukola Vihara in the Mahavamsa, which is the
    principle chronicle of Sri Lankan history. Check-in to the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure

    Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa

    Begin the morning by climbing the famous Sigiriya- a rock fortress nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high and an
    ancient palace built by King Kasyapa. Ideal time to start 7:00am and takes about 60-90
    minutes to reach the top. Complete the site in 3-4 hours at a leisurely pace with photographing. Then
    continue upto Polonnaruwa for sightseeing. Polonnaruwa is a town in the North Central Province of Sri
    Lanka and the part of the town remains as the royal ancient city of Polonnaruwa kingdom. Spend as
    much time as you like before heading back to your hotel.

    Sigiriya – Kandy

    The city of Kandy is located at a distance of 115km from Colombo in the center of the island. Kandy is the
    last Kingdom of Sri Lanka and set amidst historic monuments, enchanting forests, great rivers and
    breath-taking vistas of picturesque mountains and valleys. The average temperature in Kandy is 20°C.
    Before heading to your hotel in Kandy, pay a visit to the Temple of Tooth Relic and The Royal Palace.
    Spend as much time as you like and then check-in to your hotel

    Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

    Nuwara Eliya located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) has average temperature 16°C and considered
    to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. One fabulous way of exploring the
    Nuwara Eliya is to take the morning railway journey from Kandy. Nuwara Eliya does not have its own train
    station and the nearest station is Nanu Oya, about 9km along the road towards Hatton. Kandy to Nanu
    Oya train route is one of the most scenic in the country, but it takes at about 4-5hours. We will queue for
    tickets on your behalf and transfer your luggage by car. Alternatively you can reach to Nuwara Eliya by
    car in 2 hours. Whichever mode of transport you chose, the drive up to Nuwara Eliya is very scenic and
    offers great views of the tea and forest covered hill country

    Nuwara Eliya – Yala

    After breakfast, leave for Yala National Park situated in south-east of Sri Lanka. We are planing to go
    evening jeep safari from 2.00p.m. to 7.00p.m. nearly 4hours. Yala National Park is home to 44 varieties of
    mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of
    leopards, elephants, sloth bears, sambars, jackals, spotted dear, peacocks, and crocodiles. It is best that
    you do an afternoon safari in to the Yala National Park.

    Yala – Galle – Bentota

    Leaving Yala travel upto southwestern tip of Sri Lanka to reach Galle before heading to Benota. The
    villages of rural Sri Lanka have changed little with time and most of the communities lead a simple and
    traditional life. Galle has been a significant trading port for Chinese, Persian, Arab and Indian traders for
    more than 100 years ago. After spending 2-3 hours around Galle Fort you will be transferred to the beach
    hotel located in the southern coastal beach of Sri Lanka.
